Obituary

John Elmore Jayme III died peacefully in Pensacola, Florida, during the early morning hours of December 22 nd , 2018.   He was 75 years of age.   John was a graduate of Kenston High School (’61) and earned his Marketing Degree at the University of Mississippi (’65), where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order.   He was a very happy and loving husband to Talis Jayme and stepfather to her three children.   He was a husband to Barbara Jayme, and father to John Elmore, Robert Kinkead and Jeffrey Allen, and grandfather to Joseph Robert.   Along with his family he is survived by his loving sister, Ruth Hatcher, her husband Roger, and her children, Darren, Donna and Debora.     Preceded in death by his parents John “Jack” and Jamie Jayme of Auburn Corners, Ohio.   It was on their Ohio property known as “Springacre”, where he and his father created a six-hole golf course on their acreage to learn to enjoy his golf game. He had been a member of Shaker Heights Country Club. He was an accomplished advertising executive in Cleveland, Ohio, beginning with his roles at the Jayme Organization, started by his father.   Beyond John’s acumen for business marketing and advertising he procured loving friendships with open arms to so many. He enjoyed visiting family and friends and traveled many miles to do so.   Being with his family and friends was his joy.   In loving memory of John, our family asks you to direct your prayers for those in need of embrace and personal care. A Private service will be held at a later date.   WATERS & HIBBERT FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
